Newsagent, lotto, cafe, supermarket and local meeting place... Run by the sweetest couple who work their butts off for our tiny town. Best bit is they have secured me copies of Yarn Mag and Simply knitting every month... Yayyyy

oooooooo our servo.... BUY your petrol during the week peoples, we havent worked out how to get it weekends yet, run by card system> DOESNT like wankbest cards.

This is the Local "fashion shop" ...
been open a few times since we have been here, has some knitting needles in a jar on a shelf, some brown non descript wool from like 20 years ago and some god damn awful shoes, but still we have a dress shop. She has some buttons and some material I think if not rotted on rolls.

We have a butcher, open mondays to fridays, book your meat in advance, they have to breed and feed the animal and kill it first lol... BTW the spunk and his sister in pic....

The red cross op shop and CWA craft shop.... as I say to the spunk.... "I have more craft in my stash than they would have seen over the past 25 years in that store", But the ladies are lovely and they have great hearts and hey Ive picked up a few bargains at the oppy, BTW I will be back Tuesday to pick up something I seen out the front in a box today lol.
Also in town is the CWA hall [insert pic here, when broadband arrives in town or next post] where they run the local paper the "narkal notes" every monday and do CWA secret womans stuff. Im not sure yet if I wannna join em... Is it like Girl Guides... Do I havta salute and make promises I cant keep????????????

Looky here tis a post office, [insert pic here, when broadband arrives in town or next post]tis where our mail and the parcels you send go, "what you havent sent me a survival package", shame on you..... JUST JOSHING YA.

Now we do have a swimming pool and a police station and 2 churches, "want a organ?????? they are giving them away up here......haha.. CONTACT MOI.

We also have a bowling club, golf "cough cough" course and a medical centre... dont be sick the day the doc aint due ok... monday and thursday only....We have a tip, a ses unit, a ambulance and the hub of life in farming the local CBH... storage for grains.

We have a Library, they must all think Im mad, Ive already ordered and booked like 12books to be sent in already.... CAN you believe NOT ONE library book on knitting. .... and then the other day I found a poncho book that they just got in, well I had to borrow it just to read yanno ;)IM SOOOOOOO ASHAMED

Knitting wise.... Ive done Brins pinwheel cardi, another pink cardi, Brins beeeee socks, mitts etc for Ms Skye-leigh and nearly a hemlock blankie. a pair of socks for brins that were toooo small. shhhesssh when did that child grow.. ?????????lengthened Ms Skyes pants and made 1/2 pair more... BUT I need a jumper so thats next, shove ya all I say..haha

The local ag show is in Sept and I intend to knock the old ladies starting with some hip knitting. Ive had strange looks here, saying I knit, they are all into Sports. (VOMIT) and scrap booking (DOUBLE VOMIT)... I will show em all.

Arm is till sooooo totally dicky, been to specialist, gotta go get x rays, ct scans etc (When I win lotto) and go back. arrrrgh. Bloody quacks,,, I have a dicky arm.. fix it I say.

Just to say we are all alive and busy busy busy... Moving to Koorda in 2 weeks and atm am just packing the small load of final stuffs and living like squatters in this house till we move out. All our stuff is gone already and unpacked and put away in the new house. even beds made and towels put out lol

Just doing the general bloody cleaning to vacate the place. Im struggling a little but press on it must be done, Im so thankful, the house is clean and tidy anyways, tis really just the yard and outside that needs some love and I will pay someone for that.
Elbow has finally cracked up and is killing me or as Snotty says "its caning me mum" lol.
I cant get into the specialist till early May and just have to suffer till then, I cant straighten it or pick anything up without either dropping it or a shooting pain going on. Bloody arthritis should be shot I say. Worst bit is its my right elbow and Im right handed bummer. Cant wait for that HUGE needle of local and cortisone ahhhh relief.

Very little knitting getting done,(hurts way too much to knit)but I did alot of little babies things for Snottys mate, who had a little girl. Twas fun making little pink things again. Now onto Blue for Smells friend.

When we get settled and I have worked out how the hell to put the puter back together I will post some pics of the new house and the town in general. Lovely little place, small school and tis soooooo quiet there, the only noise we heard for 2 weeks we stayed there last month, was the burring of air cons, including ours.

Ill leave it till then. Just wanted to let you know we are alive still.

But Im back. its been school hols here and still is for another 2-3 weeks.

Ive been a busy bee, packing for the big move to Koorda in March. We are staying here till April though, just the bulk of the furniture and boxes will be gone, we will be living like squatters for a few weeks. geez Ive horded alot of stuff since moving in here from that tiny flat, maybe to bulk the rooms out lol. I did dwindle 6 boxes down to one though, I was so proud of myself that day. Slowly getting there, its being done in 3 stages. Non essentials that I can get packed will be going next weekend. Then the big stuff in 5 weeks, then over the next month I will be driving up there taking the little things I find as I clean. Phew Im so over it. I guess I really didnt think I would be moving out within 18months, I sorta saw this house as a long term thing. The spunk and I were not making any long term plans then. I love it so much and will miss it dreadfully, but then again I also love my new house and besides I will have the spunk there, that makes it worthwhile and my chooks.

Ive been sewing and knitting too. I started the spunk some new socks a few days before xmas and finished Xmas eve.

I made Ms Brins a Ms Chauncey
for a laugh, need to add the bow. I also made Mel a Flourish and Blotts bookmark for Xmas made from Fyberspates wool I got a few years ago.

I made a cardi and dress for my lambit.
And started a cat and bear from the same patterns.

I made a baby cardi, some booties and some hats
, the girls friends keep popping babies out so I thought I would just knit my stash and put in a box so they can choose in future.

I started Brins a jacket in Clinker from Kmart. Thought it would be scratchy but its knitting to a nice hand. im just finishing the sleeves pic next post.

Also I can show you the tea cosy I made for my tea cosy party over at Ravelry. Im glad she liked it. I had a little trouble with it and knitted a few but this one was the nicest.

I also made a little case
for my iriver.Ms Brins got a ds lite for xmas from her dad, didnt even come with a pouch so now I will make her one too, same wool. Starshine from Panda

Ive also been sewing making Ms Brins summer jammies, a few sock bags and yesterday a new hooded cloak for Ms Brins. Shes off on a Harry Potter Hogwarts Day today at the local Arts Centre, movies, crafts, house sorting you get the drift. Shes gone as Hermoine, she so has the hair for it lol.

Had the boy/man here over the past month, he left last week so yayyyy I got my puter back. Its in the room he sleeps in so he tends to hog it. Hence why I havent been on much. He didnt mind being taken to the pub though... this is from last time he was here, but nothing changes.

And the BIG NEWS IS.... the monkeys went for a ride, yes their first public appearance, well as much as can be seen inside my docs and under jeans. Look at the poor things they were exhusted when they arrived home after a arvo out riding and drinking at the pub.

Ok Im off to pack another box or 10, so will leave you with a pic of my girls. Skyes got a virus atm, so poor thing is probably miserable and I guess Smell is too now lol.

Well Ive been a busy bee,
Ive been knitting and sewing and had a brilliant day going to Bunbury and then to Harvey for lunch at the pub, harvey beef rosks, and back home....
Long ride and my butts a little tender today but no where near like it used to be, Im just that much more relaxed with the sissy bar then. Ive never had one before so this is a new experience and I have to say after seeing friends girlfriend hanging on for dear life I feel lucky Im soooo not doing that again haha. At least I can walk today and not hobble like I usta. For those that remember the old girl heres a pic of the new girl... Hell of a difference from a 1984 to a 2008, they even have immobilisers, alarms and its fuel injected and its terribly kewl *wink*

Now some sewing. I made a sock tote again. I so love making these, so easy and they look great and I still want more. Big ones I want I do lol

Then I got hooked on illusion knitting, ive been looking at it for such a long time going "yeah one day, looks too hard etc etc". well the day came, I made and wow I love, Im hooked now.

Going today to get some black and green wool to make the dark mark scarf cause I must have it....

Also I found thru Ravelry a pattern for a Harley Davidson dishcloth
, well of course I had to make it, Made it for the spunk as a flannel for his shower. He thinks it was quite smart really.

I dont think ive done much else. I have hell hayfever atm, I normally suffer allergies all year round and just cope, but yesterday arvo the coping ended. My head was gunna burst and my ears were a mess. I am covered in hives and the wind just keeps blowing lol. Apparently I have a ton of fluid behind my eardrums or something and so am on a heap of medication, including a nasal spray that cost me 73 freaking dollars, I tell ya it better be worth the snorting. I was shocked and horrified. Thats a week of shopping gone, lucky we have some food here or we would be starving. sheesh the gov needs to cut people some slack with medications. I know this little bottle did not cost $73 to make. Good onya little johnny, you made me dislike you more now.

Ok whining finished. I need a cuppa and go finish my secret surprise for my tea cosy buddy swapee...

Oh oh and my tea cosy buddy swaper asked me what fibre I like. Im not so much a lace weight, sock weight yeah I love socks, DK probably what I use more, but thats only cause its cheap haha. Love wool. Dont like acrylic, its squeaks at me. Mohair I cant handle the snorting of.. made myself a gorgeous mohair cardy, it gets up my nose now haha. I like it all. except novelty yarns and squeaky stuff, OK OK im a yarn snob. I admit it, im on a 12 step program hehe.

Dear Tea cosy buddy,

Heres a little info in case you might need it.

*My teapot is 17cm high from base to knob on lid. Its 42cm from spout around to spout.

For comparasion Ive placed my newest baby, a little witch bear from woolies latest tiny bears collection

*I love breakfast teas, not big on fancy ones as alot have some gluten in the flavourings, as do the fancy coffees (bummer)

*I have a very 70's kitchen atm but am moving to a fairly bland kitchen in approx 6 months, BUT in saying that I am far from a bland person so anything kitsch is great. For my new kitchen wont be bland long *wink*
Heres a little bit of my kitchen atm.
Its really weird, everything is angled, its lovely and huge and I have cupboards everywhere mostly glass faced on the walls. Looks alittle like a caravan kitchen sometimes.

*I can only eat Gluten and Wheat free products, but love choccie, Unfortunatly the range there is limited but good old plain cadbury is great. Im partial to furry friends little chocs lol. love bicckies but again gluten free.

*I love to collect things and love dragonflys, hello kitty and anything witchy, and for a weird obsession I collect mice ornaments, (my nanna passed me her 500+ collection 20 years ago and every now and then I add another piece. lol)

*I love the smells of lavender, vanilla, rose and gardenias.

I knit this Saturday arvo... Smells friend is having a baby and so I knit this for it. Really quick knit, loved the pattern, used Spotlights "dashing" and love the wool. I will knit more with this wool, gorgeous.

Also a pic of the first roses for the season..... I also picked a dozen long stem ones for a friends birthday on the weekend

Went to Koorda Sunday, and stayed at a friends and went yesterday to check out the house again and visit the school. Get this 37 kids, wow a little school. Great thats what we are after for Brins anyways.

But ya see I got my Ravelry invite and well like most people that have, their blogs have been sadly negleted. Theres so much stuff to look at on it, you need 6 lifetimes to do it. haha

Ok Katt asked what did I knit for the bathurst weekend, well I have to admit nothing really, lol. First time for everything. Im so bad hey. Normally over Bathurst I make something in total. But not this time. I did wander around picking socks up and knitting a row here and there, but thats it.

Also IN BIG NEWS>>>>>> the spunk has bought us a house in a small wheatbelt town over here called Koorda. about 3 hours from Perth and a pop of 499 including us 3 lol. Settlement is Thursday and we wont be moving for a while. Its a holiday house while we wait the 6 months for the lease to run out here. Anyone near Koorda want a knitting buddy lol. check out the size of my chook run, complete with manderin, orange, peach, pear and apple tree and the usual aussie delight a lemon tree.

So some pics and stuff I guess. Ive been following The changlings $1 challenge and have to say Ive done bloody awright I 'ave. Firstly there was the buttons, A tube of various and totally gorgeous I must add, for $1.(cant find those pics) then the Barbara Walker treasury of Knitted Lace patterns for $1

Ive also been knitting bits and pieces here and there. I picked up some bargains at spotlight.
5 Balls of cara cotton stuff for $5 and made this for Brins. its a little summer top.
And 13 balls of Katia Espigo for $12 to make me Soliel. Which Ive started.

Wow I made skye some slippers and started some more pants which have come to a standstill atm.

Im making some Monkey socks for me with Katts watermelon wool and some plain ones with some Lion Brand magic stripes
I got from spotlight for $3 a ball.
I started a little pressie for my boy, Oh he turned 18 on Friday but I didnt get it finished so xmas it will be now. So you will have to wait for then to see it.

I also finished a cardi I started making for Brins a few years ago, finished that for skye for winter.

Ive also been sewing and Grabbed another bargain. A sewing machine bag for $3 at the oppy. ITs a janome bag but my brother doesnt mind, she fits lovely.
I made these for Skye for her birthday. I went wild at spotlight the other week on pretty material. I made me a noice bag too.

Im such a money miser/bargain hunter. I picked these up for the donut for $7 at target the other week too. LOL look at those heels. meow.

I dyed some rovings too for when I learn to spin *cough cough* and Ive named it phoenix

Well more just to show pics etc I reckon or to keep me safe from jail for murdering a child....lol. School holidays do have advantages and school holidays are also shitty.

*Its good to sleep in without the mad rush in the morning.
*Its good to have and hold the child all day.
*Its good to just relax and not stress bout everything.

*And its bad cause "im bored" is etched in my memory for life from 3 others as well as this one.
*Bad cause, Im telling her to do things 15 bloody times before I YELL AND SCREAM.
*Bad cause, some magical faerie FORGOT to supply a unlimited amount of money to my bank account to undo the "im bored thing". (Note to self..... Yell at faeries)
*Bad cause, I wanna do my stuff and what I do during the day without having to remember to put her in the car too or pick up after her again and again and again.
*And cause as usual one of us is sick EVERY HOLIDAYS, yesterday was the first day we managed to get out and just for a hour mind. Dont want her sick next week. I want to go see Harry Potter then. LOL

Also a little top I picked up at the local oppy for $1. Its nice and I wanna try to make one for skye in something I have here.

The spunks socks are still going. Im just about to turn heel on both pairs, then its smooth sailing down each foot. Hopefully he will have them by the end of the weekend. I keep getting sidetracked by wanting to make other things lol

OOOOOOOOO a spot of dying might happen today if I can get organised and find the right colours for this. Almost 200g of pure wool in beige. I HATE beige. But I was thinking a little dye over might make a nice pair of longies for skye. Any suggestions??????????????

And this might happen today if Brins is willing to listen, she made me buy it, wants to make it but wants it done now, all of it, one go, NOW.

Also at the oppy the other day I managed to pick up a darning mushroom for 50cents. Not bad. I had won one on ebay but it never showed. I wanted that one too, but this will do atm. Till I find another. Modelled by the lovely Rory Holden lion

AND Im making a toy hey....Been a long time since I made one. The monkey from Simply knitting was the last. I seen Sheldon Turtle over at knitty.com and thought heck I have heaps of bright green ackrylic stuff out the back. I might have to make me one. So Im doing the body atm. It will be a she and Brins has christened her "tillie turtle".

While I was out the back I found this I made for Brins for her first Xmas. I think its seen a xmas or two (everytime I find it again)

Oh and forgot to show you my new beanie.... My boy/man bought it for me when we were over there. Brins has worn hers to death. But Im saving mine. Im not a big beanie person. In fact Im not a hat person, they dont look too bad with my hair down or a bucket hat looks ok with my hair in a plait or something, otherwise its like sunnies. I look weirder than usual.

Im sitting in my spare/computer room looking at all the spunks stuff,(told ya he was slowly moving in) thinking I should be getting my craft stuff back out in the workroom. Everyday it slowly graduates its way back in the house. Yanno gotta look up something or try something or whateva. Im soo bad. Right in front of me is like a dozen magazines that have a place out the back. Heck I have space there (A WHOLE BLOODY ROOM) and a bookshelf so why do I keep bringing stuff in here. Tis like my sewing, having had a chance to look at any sewing since I been back, but alas the machine looks at me every night while eating dinner from down in the corner of the dining room. It stares at me, giving me filthy looks for the abandonment. I will get back to you, sweetie, after the child is back at school. ahhhhh Need to think on this before I move it, maybe a day of knitting will help with the guilt of it all haha

well I think that time is near, well actually I gotta go get dressed first, then to sit and knit with a nice hot cuppa. Its a tad chilly here today. My house is quite a few degrees colder than outside in winter. I hope ya enjoyed all the pics and if you have a slow puter Sorry.

just a quick one to say hi and give some quick pics of what ive been doing for the past month.
Missed midnight flight sat at Perth airport till morning for next one.

Firstly went to Victoria to see boy/man graduate from Naval Recruits at HMAS Cerberus

I so was proud I gushed all day.

Probably a little embarrasing for the boy but heck not every day your little man becomes a big man
A pic of Brin freezing her little butty off (the BIG head in the back thats my ex ex hubby. What a trooper he was, met me at melbourne and I let him hire the car and pay for it to take us down to Cerberus. See Im a lovely ex really, IT WAS BLOODY FREEZING THERE lol

Then on to SA to see Smell and little heff. And while there, knitted away as usual. Made Donut a scarf from cheap crappo stuff from "cheap as chips". Might be cheap but was soft and warm which we needed IT WAS FREEZING THERE TOO lol. Some more mittens for heff cause she kept losing hers and I finally made a jumper from some wool I bought from the knittery a few years ago. Beautiful to work with and very soft. Skye loved it so much it took 2 days to get it off her

Ok forget the hols now I much rather would, we ended up sick with the flu, and I mean SICK and poor Brins still has it all. ear and throat infections, border pneumonia and on enough drugs to start our own chemist.

Got home and kept knitting. Pair of longies for Skye. Im addicted to making these now. These were from Alisons pattern over at "the blue blog", But with skyes measurements Ive been crunching some numbers and looking thru stitch books to come up with my own. To be released next week, Im busy today.

Also making my man some socks cause I love him. Making them both at once hoping to stop the second sock syndrome. Just a simple cable rib thingy. dont know where I first seen this stitch but heck I like it. I call em twistee socks. Pattern is knit the 2nd sticth and while still on needle knit the first and slide both off. Then purl 2. Wish I knew where I seen it, been doing it for ages now, made some gloves and socks etc a couple of years ago doing this.

Also making Brins a Bee hive hat from stitch and bitch. Shes obsessed with Bees.

Looks like the man will be moving in soon. Still 4 weeks till settlement and over the past week have applied for so many jobs my head was spinning, and as yet have heard from NIL. I need a job. NOW pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease.

Ok like a said a quick one, its cold outside but sunny and Im in the middle of trying to wash everything in sight and still have time to sit and knit laterer.

Before I head off east tomorrow night on the midnight flight to Melbourne till Saturday then off to SA to see my girls

Life is still hectic, this trip hasnt been without its faults and miseries, but not big ones, just my own organisation ones. Im off Im off yipeeee. Cant wait to see my little boy/man in his uniform. My new toy bought today at spotlight. A knitting nancy thingy, or a "I CAN CHEAT ICORD" maker. Brins started making a scarf for herself using a toilet roll holder and pop sticks and I think its time she moved on, besides the spunk wants me to make covers for his guitar stands using it.

Ahhhhh a Harry Potter scarf in the making. Now I have the book I intend to make it all *evil laff* These look about the closet colours I reckon. Tis for Brins, so small and skinny and plane knitting. I will be making me a Slytheren one as Snape is my hero really, Hes so mean and dark. I kinda fancy the man really .

Well its been a hectic few weeks here, the spunk went to hospital 3 weeks ago and has been hobbling around and today has returned to work, my nursing days were a hell of alot of fun though. In the mists of all this I have been knitting frantically, well as much as you can wiped out on pain killers haha, and watching low grade movies. In fact Ive done heaps, alot of small but useful things really.

Firstly I finished my mohair cardi on the weekend and I have to admit Im impressed. I love it and its so thick but not itchy. Wool was from defunked Ozyarns called wildflower or something like that. Truely a beautiful wool to work with and the colours, jewel colours so hard to get in any light but in person ahhh lovely.

Next the promised pic of Brins handpainted fingerless gloves. Impressive. Hard to take a pic when she cant keep still lol.

Im made numerous pairs of mittens and gloves over the past few weeks, nice and easy and quick for instant gradification.

Ahhhhh slippies. Done in angora/merino mix, blue on my feet
pink made for the spunks daughter. Yes they look like little bags that you would think "they aint slippies", but they are. Am doing another pair for spunks daughters friend now too, sheesh they nice. Smell also recieved some and am making a thicker pair in hand dyed merino for me again, so quick and easy and yanno I have no idea where the pattern came from, here, a book, no idea, but its stapled to my brain now.

Made myself a hat to, in country silk, in the lavender shade, lacy edged beanie pattern from Headhuggers.com, this is a fav, brins has one of these in hot pink too. Smell also got a hat in purple merino surpreme.

Also sewed some tissue holders for Mothers Day stall. PITY NO ONE MAKES TISSUES that fit anymore, grrr, but they sold anyway.
Havent had a chance to get near the sewing machine, but I need to make the mother of all bags for my trip east in 2 weeks. Must be big enuff for 18 hours travelling time,(planes, trains and automobiles, to hold knitting, lunchbox for me,magazines, and heaps pockets for purse, glasses and ipod, phone etc. But not too hard to lug around. Any ideas???? I was thinking a pair of jeans cut up to make one, at least some pockets all ready there and it be nice and strong.
Oh yes on Virgin YOU can take knitting needles, (I checked) but not on Qantas, stupid considering I can take wooden coloured pencils. Same thing, different colours really. wankers

Ahhhh my trip east what a logistic nightmare really, The donut was coming but due to missing the cheap flights last week shes now missing melbourne and her brothers naval graduation and meeting us in SA instead. So now its just me and Brins and meeting my ex over in Melbourne for it. Then flying to SA to see my baby girls, Smell and Skye, I cant wait. I havent seen them since December and my heff has grown so much, heres a pic of her keeping her hands warm.

Ordered less than 10 days ago and arrived yesterday from Amazon, such nice people. I got it, I got it, I got it *doing a little dance around the room*. I cant wait to make some things from this, Brins is dying for a weasley jumper with a HUGE B on it and the cloak

And we sold the bike, on ebay no less, for what we wanted to a really nice guy in Canarvon ? in north WA. So heres a pic of me and Brins the day it got picked up. I sure miss that old girl but never mind we going to order our new one next week. wooohoooo

Heck there sure are alot of pics so I hope you enjoy em. Ive been busy downloading all the podcasts I have missed in the past few weeks, so have about 16 on my mp4 player ready to go, for listening to on plane and train and automobiles etc. lol

Ive been looking for a cheap but effective storage system for my circs and today bought a DVD holder, size of a exercise book with 40 pockets and the pockets are the size of a dvd cover so im not packing em in tightly. I like to keep em loose so they dont kink. $7 and working well

Now onto whats on my needles, sheesh what a nightmare. I started a orange mohair jumper for me and made a mistake 3 rows in, put it down, got out some zhivago to make a jumper, couldnt get gauge right, put it down, found 20 balls of blue loopy in the stash, started a jumper from the loopy classics book, gauge right, right sizings, but would fit 2 of me, put it down, came to conclusion, I am not meant to make me another jumper yet and instead started a hoodie for Brins
in Katia Himalaya in blue and green striped and will have huge winnie the pooh buttons. Its working lol

Latest news around here, I am finally going to follow my dreams and do a enrolled nurses course at Tafe. Next semester, if I can get the apllication requirements organised. Hopefully by the time the practical work stuff comes around my meds will be stable enuff and I will do it. My doc thinks its a great idea and if it takes me longer than others to complete it so be it.

Ok Im going to do some housework, it has been lacking around here past few weeks but I will leave you with a pic of Brins receiving a special award
at school for much improvement. Brins is semi dyslexic we have found out and has struggled hard but the other night finally managed to read me a book. wooohooo Go girl.

Tis way too early and cold and.....

Dark and damp so this will be a quick one so I can go back to bed. The spunk and I have been sick as this week with a cold/flu and Im exhusted from sneezing and snuffling.

Sewing front I finished my kimono style top
and am working on another top for Friday night the spunk and I are dining out at a posh resturant and I wanna look good, haha. This gorgeous satin was on special yesterday at spotlight for $6 a metre, buy 2, get one free, Im thinking some lounge pants for me and Brins with whats left.
Ive also found a heap of material
previously bought over the years to make some summer tops, lovely orental silk stuff and some sheer material. And a opshop bargain,
8 metres of various winterish florals for $4. Destined to become pants for brins and skye and some pjs for them too.
Also in spotlight I found the lion brand yarns, wooo very nice the magic stripes was. And wow they have some lovely wools in there atm, Im dying to use my stash a bit so I can buy some other stuff, esp the micromerino they had, lovely and spotlights own "dashing" is divine.Still a whole wall of eyelash crap but ya get that. At least there supply of pure wool and wool blends looks betterer this year.

Ive been having a knitting blank so have just been doing some hats and fingerless gloves to sell at my market stall next month to finance my little trip to the Boys naval graduation and to see my baby girl for a week or so in June
Last week I let Brins dye some wool and she "painted" some grogeous looking stuff she called lolly wrappers. Ive knitted her fingerless gloves wth it but she squandered them in her room so pics will have to wait till she wakes. I dyed some also in black, red and brilliant blue, I dubbed "punky" and will find something to make out of that soon.Maybe fingerless gloves for me again, I do love to wear em. We intend to do some more dying today maybe, I have some stuff out the back room thats gross and needs some over dying.

smell was making before she had the heff and never finished,(shepard boucle type wool) it was meant to be a blankie, but Im looking thinking some nice cushion covers would look great and then the heff can use em in her room or whatever, So I must start sewing them together and sort that out.
My mission in life atm is to cull and use and sell what I have so when the spunk and I eventually leave this world and move country, I wont be taking excess stuff. (esp old UFO's)and knitting patterns I wont ever use. Ive given up on "she who dies with the most knitting paraphalia wins" too. And think "she who dies with the best wins"

A friend of the spunks lent us some great dvds to watch, this is on my agenda for today "father Ted" what a crack up, weve already spent weeks watching vicar of dibly and black adder and allo allo again and again. I forgot how funny they all were.
Latest book
I bought last week and in my spare time Ive been trying to read it, just about finished. I didnt mind it but would have liked to have read the first one first. But ya get that. Looking for more knitting novels now.

Smorning all

Tis 5.40 and Im up and posting before I crawl back into bed for another hour or so. Caught a dreaded lurgy and Im blaming global warming ok.
School holidays havent been that bad yet, Brins and I caught the bus to Rocky today to walk around after my physio appointment and the dreaded trip to centrelink where I didnt have the "right" information it seems AGAIN, story of my life. But Not to bore.
Today shes going to a friends from school. Said friends mother is doing a teaching degree (IS SHE MAD???) and needs some kids to practice her skills on before she starts work experience at the local state school(thats a nightmare school). So she invited her sons bestest friends to help. Kewl I say. I get a day to go to my apparent job network appointment (friggen thrills I tell ya)

Onto sewing this week...
am up to putting the sleeves into my kimono style top and will finish that this weekend while brins at her dads, I need to sit and concentrate for that, but meanwhile I whipped up some flower power hippy pants for Skye.
And following cindys pattern for her sock tote I made this....
Im sooo pleased with the way it turned out, Ive never put a zipper in anything before and I did it and lined it as well. Well done cindy for this pattern. I thinks I need to make me some more, The spunk reckons the house will be full of em soon. Well maybe. Im going to make a larger one to actually hold all my sock stash in, tis not a big stash like some but enuff for a few pairs and that will keep it safe from nasty bugs. And then what about some to hang actual socks in and then I need one for the car to have something to work on in. and maybe one to hold needles in and one for....... YOU get the drift... I lurve em.

My new cup. Awww aint she sweet, I really LURVE hello Kitty and when I seen her yesterday complete with chocolate egg for a measly $3.50 I knew I had to have her, So I did.

What Im working on...

Firstly I have been working
on my mohair cardi. Ive done the back and one side and am working on sleeves atm, I like to beak up the jumper and do the sleeves in between or I end up on sleeve island wondering whether I ever will finish it. Im not sure about the front though, It just doesnt look like I wanted, so I have put a small life line in ready to rip back a bit and redo. Ive tried to catch some of the way the colours just blend in but I dont think I could ever do it enuff justice. Its just gorgeous.

And has anyone used this gorgeous stuff. Its from Kmart and their own brand, Its 8ply 100% wool and its devine.Brins needs a redish hat we realised after a trip to shops yesterday where as she dressed herself. I should have taken a pic but forgot. So I will attempt to describe her attire. From the feet up.

Black boots. black tights with red cow print. black short skirt. Nemo top. Red jumper that I made her last year complete with bell sleeves. and A GREEN HAT. Bloody hell she looked hippy, bohemian and crazy in one. The child has her own sense of style and besides the GREEN hat she looked gorgeous. So she picked out this and I am making her the beret from Jo sharps Heartland book. Its a red/orange mix.
This wool is sooooooooooo soft and squishy and they have some lovely mottled colours I have decided tomoz to take another little trip to Kmart and layby me some, Tis 40% off atm, I paid about $2.90 a ball I think. And a squishy soft warm wooly jumper (for me) here I come. Well thats if I can get enuff in the colour I liked. I was thinking that jumper in the latest Yarn mag, I love the design but dont want mine plain.. ahhh we will see.

In other news this week. My Boy/Man has survived his first week as a navy recruit, mind u I did receive a phone call 2nd day in asking for a survival package, consisting of smokes.

Geez tis 6.27am now. how time has flown and so did my extra hour sleep I didnt get *sob* oh well Im awake now.
Time to make beds, clean up, shower and dress, get a cuppa and sit and knit for a bit till the girl child wakes ready to go again.

This is a close up of the front, we decided against a ribbed neckline and went for something a little more feminine... just a shell edged border with ribbon threaded

next we have the fingerless gloves...

Omgodess Im soooooooooo annoyed at myself over these. The first pair I did had gorgeous little skulls and bones on em, but were that small they might have fitted brins, (which the spunk reminded me about AFTER I hadpulled em apart). So we went simple, just stripped, not fingers besides the thumb gusset and she loved em. Maria you are a gem of a mate.

So whats installed next.... well I need to finish smells surprise and the spunk needs his socks finished.... beautiful alpaca i got handspun from opshop last year.

Hopefully that will give me time to think about me. YES ME. cause I need a new jumper and a new cardigan... Oh and I promised Brins a new cardi too. All from the stash of course. And I want to make both girls their "weasley sweaters" too. I might need to buy a small amount for those. Contrast yanno *wink*

Yanno if I have to go near that store at MountPleasantI will buy stuff I dont need. Pattern is from the latest (in OZ) of Simply Knitting. I love this mag, it has patterns for everyone and the little free gifts come in handy. I love this months, the magnetic needle case. They were so in my head when they came up with that idea. Im always running around looking for needles here.

And last pic, Last weekend the v8s were here in Perth and as I had brins that weekend the spunk took his daughter to watch em, while I sat wtaching them on tv and knitting in peace. But hes such a sweetie he didnt forget me again.(those last year will remember he got me flowers and bag and hat etc from v8s. This year I got another bucket hat

In other pressing news today. him pict here with his neice is starting a new life today. He left this morning on a trip to victoria where aboard the HMAS Cerberus he starts a new life as a recruit. Good Luck my little man, Mummy will send a survival package soon.

Dont know what it is, but I really dont like electrical stuff. it sooo neva works for me, including the net. More importantly the new blogger doesnt like me.

yes Im stil alive... just ... nah just joshing ya.

Ive been busy doing not much really. Went back to my GP and the official diagonsis is Degenerative disc and joint disorder. In other words I have Osteoarthritis. I am on meds that I will need to keep taking. Loads of painkillers, meds to help me sleep and stuff. So atm while my brain and body are adjusting to them I am not fully myself. *wink*. Actually I havent taken any this morning and Im really feeling it now. Nice cuppa, meds and a lay down would be the bargain to have.

So while Ive been doing not much Ive been busy doing little things.

Firstly some little things I been whipping up for my baby girl. Knitting and yes sewing. Im learning to sew. The pants took me 4 weeks to make *blush* I am better at it a little now haha

and she picked this atrocious yarn out from Big W, they are now selling carnival yarns in self stripping, camoflarge and fair isle patterning, not bad actually, and for ackrylic its kinda soft too. This one is the orange fluro lime and pink and white fair isle matches the pants really. she wants a vest from it so here goes, just making it up as I go according to what she said she wanted, long rib band and a lower round neck.

Yesterday I took myself off into town(which accounts for why I cant move today) but anyways I went to try and spend the gift vouchers the spunk gave me for my birthday $100 at angus and robertsons. Come on guys get ur friggen fingers out and get some decent books in. I came away empty handed AGAIN. Ive done all the stores in Perth now, and still have my vouchers... anyone wanna buy em, so I can go and spend at BORDERS..... OMG i need a small lotto win here. I picked out 6 books I really really really must have this year so far its only march haha. Knitting books abound in Borders. I will be going there more often now.

Just a real short one to say Im alive and kicking, been sleeping alot, drugging myself on painkillers alot and doing a little knitting.

Started a surprise for smelly. SHE WILL HAVE TO WAIT hahahahahaha.

The jumper I was making myself, well I did the back and front and most of the sleeves then frogged it, so that was wasteful in a way, but heck I will get back to it. Im thinking instead of a Zip up jacket in the green wool. Just have to get back into all that green, was feeling kinda kermitish.

Started a hat for Heff yesterday watching the v8's GO HOLDEN.... and finished it this arvo.... pink, fluffy and cute. Next is a vest for the heff and one for Brins too. And she needs some redoing of her fav jumper, bit added here and there for length and the sleeves. My baby girl is gunna be a tall girl sometime soon. Haha

Well Smell has finally moved into her new house in SA and settling in. Im glad but we still miss her heaps.

My boy/man leaves for the navy next month, good smummy I am I thought it was Sat just gone and got myself into a tiss.

Still going to sewing classes, just not progressing as I hoped. I need one on one teaching I think. I tend to move along and then have to sit patiently and wait till everyone else has used and abused her brains so I can have help again. Im going all day tomorrow. Im making the heff a outfit and I want to finish it tomorrow so I can maybe make me something sometime. I wouldnt mind some nice kimono style tops for myself. And I promised smell I would make heff some new curtains.

Last Saturday night the spunk and I and some friends, headed to the showgrounds for a Bon Scott Tribute Concert.... The Angels and Rose Tattoo were there as well as the Party boys and a few other top names in the muso side of life. Had a absolute ball of a time.

Onto medical side of things, Bursitis is alive and well, Bastard thing, Im so sick of it all.
The pain all over my body is bad enuff, but the hip pain is the pits.
Doing a pain management course over the next few months, so Im hoping that helps, BUT i did stumble on something I think it may be, It all adds up really. I have all the major symptoms and a hell of alot of the minor ones. I think I may have fibromyalgia..... Do you have this, if so email me or leave a message. I would like to find out some more about it. I have a appointment this week with the doc to discuss the possibility. And While I know its not cureable, its treatable and its positive. Well for me anyway. My specialist ruled out imflammitory athritis in his report and my own gp cant understand it as I have swelling in my joints. Alas one of the symptoms of fibromyalgia

Im so tired, I dropped Brins at school the other day came home and went back to bed till nearly time to go get her again, Its happening a bit lately, I helped a mate out last week doing stocktake and I admit I have it cushy there but it took me a few days to get myself back again. Totally exhusted me it did.
Ok which one of you stole my energy and what have you done with it. LOL

Ok Im off to read some blogs and be done with it. BTW now smelly has her phone line back she will be looking after the side bar of my blog so the aussie ring thingy and everyones buttons and blogs etc shall be back up soon.

Well it was my birthday too, so for my birthday I got....

$100 gift voucher from Angus and Robertson to spend till I drop.... Knitting books here I come haha.

I also got to spend the day with the man I love who took me out on the bike and we had the most yummiest lunch at the pub. He a surf and turf and me a farm and turf (chook boobs and garlic prawns) ooooooooooooooooooooo soooo good. The arvo was spent relaxing and that was my day. Couldnt have asked for a better one....

Also for my birthday from smelly I got a lovely little cross stitch which I will show when I finish putting it in a frame.

Still plodding on my jumper, Didnt do any yesterday hopefully I will get some done today. One thing I am trying to do with my hands and wrists being as they are is to learn to stop when it hurts and not keep going for hours till Im in so much pain I almost pass out. (Im getting some reading done though) Going to buy a new splinted brace tomorrow so hopefully that will take the strain off to. Bloody hands. I have picked out a few things I wanna make so will start sorting patterns and stash out to cover them and then I can finally start sorting wool to sell... That will make me feel better I think. I feel cluttered with my stash now. I look at it and cringe at alot hahaha. What was I thinking ??? I soooooooooooooooo had/have bad taste

I start a pain management course thingy tomorrow so hopefully that will help with getting some more knitting done lol

Still being harrased by centrelink and associated job networks.... The FUNNY thing is..... get this.... according to all of them I am NOT obligated to find work till July (I come under the old system) UNLESS they change the rules again and I get longer at home, so they all ask me why I am there at appointments. HOW to fuk do I know. They have all told me to go home sort my medication/doctors etc and leave it at that, then the next week I get a letter I have another appointment sheeeesh..I have been sent on a wild goose chase for the past few months, and last week was assessed by the state health for job capacity to find Im classed as a temporary which means I should be working 30+ a week.... Im sure arthritis is temporary.... NOT>>> it wont go away yanno. Dickheads. Oh and the huge cyst on my kidney is temporary too. Yeah maybe at the mo, but because of the heath system I can be waiting for a few years to have that removed to. And then I may have to have the kidney removed as well. Thats sure temporary hey. Good onya Little Johnny Howard. The whole system changed last monday and the poor girl that is working on my case is ready to quit. I feel for her, shes a lovely lady. And she sees this on a daily basis.

Mind you just to note. Since November last year when I finished my course.... I HAVE off my own back applied for approx 4-5 jobs a week and heard back from one.... I am a member of a job network assigned by THE GOVERNMENT (that get paid to have me on their books) to help me find a job... Have been for the past 12 months. Have they given me any help at all..... NOPE, NOTHING, ZILCH, NIL NOT.....

BUT the point is. I want a job, and am willing to work, BUT the system also states you should be able to work around your family which I am trying to do. Brins has me and me alone. I dont have family here besides the doughnut who works fulltime and the spunk who also works long hours. Daycare is booked up and over my price range even though the "government" has opened new places and cut the cost *wink* yup sureeeee. So my point is, find me a job in school hours I am there, even if I have to lie and state I am perfectly heathly and able to lift and carry large items. I want a job. I wanna live with the spunk in peace and with some money of my own to contribute) I just will not leave my little girl with strangers and yes she is a little girl.

Mr Howard... organise yaself boy. Get with the program... instead of changing rules to suit you, change em to suit the people that have to look at your wierd little face every night on tv.... Give people a break and go target those that need to be shot.

now pressing news come to hand.... last night said little girl wasnt feeling the best. Rejected my world famous ShazzyWraps and went to bed.... well said little girl just came to me (its 6.30am) and is still sick and looking a tad peeky and feverish, so today is a day sitting here wiping the fevered brow... Could I be doing that if I was working??? hell no she would be going to school and I would be crossing my fingers that the school didnt notice and ring me to come get her.... See Ive done this before with those other 3 children I have that I worked all the time while they were small and growing up... there I go Im bitching again... I so need a good walk, a bit of knitting time and to sit in a hot bath... The spunk had his wisdom teeth out 2 weeks ago and was sick as. Just wanna show and tell the past few weeks....

Well my baby and her baby moved to SA....OMGoddess I miss em sooo much. ok not you smell but stinky pants is being missed by 3 peeps here badly. Im sooo joshing ya smell, we miss you all

The big man/boy came home from SA for the hols. So made brins day as well as mine, Hi snotty, from your Smummy XXXX ....BIG news is hes decided to join the Navy.... wooohooo My boy is becoming a man.

Now onto more pressing news. My main man commonly known in here as "the spunk" had to have his wisdom teeth out in hospital, so as a get well, we love you thingy I made him one of Alan Darts Gnome thingys.
We call it his "Lucky Gnome". Poor thing, you tend to try and forget the pain of having those bastards removed really. But yes Ive been a good Missus and looking after him, and yannno he sooo loves his gnome... actually he loves anything I knit.... weird really... lol

Also see this is turning into this. Its Katia Himilaya turning into a jumper for moi ok.... I donated money to the salvos, they gave me the wool in return *wink*

Im not even going to go into how he F*$KED her hair up or her cousins

LOOK what i found last night trying to get to my weeiro/cockatiel "Kelly" (the spunk gave her to me, only cause she hated him) haha....A BLOOODY OWL I tell ya..... its amazing hey the spunk couldnt believe this was in our backyard. A bloody owl, Ive only seen a real one at the zoo.

Now down to my poor baby puss. ya remember the cat that rocked up prego that I took in and helped birth 2 litters, well shes been attacked by something and has a HUGE absess... poor baby. She wont let anyone near it, Im slowly clearing it up, but I can see a trip to the vets 2moz if I can catch her. Poor old chook I love her but shes such a free spirit.

Now onto the latest and greatest news, IVE bought myself a new sewing machine and taking sewing lessons, last week was to be my first but due to WESTERN POWER soooooo stuffing up as usual. 2morrow will now be my first class. Im making stinky pants a outfit. I am. well ok Im sooo gunna try ok lol

Ok its late here, Brins is in bed, the animals are slumbering away on the back porch and the spunk is at his place, I should go to bed. well read anyways....

Im really hopeless at taking photos these days, my hands seem to shake more. But the colours are lighter than in pic, They are simply gorgeous. These socks are for Brins, we are all having matching ones, me, Brins and Skye. So Smell I need the heffs foot measurements.

Now no scoffing and going "blah blah blah" this was ordered and paid for BEFORE the new year and my yarn diet, as will be the next lot that comes. Soooo ner ner ner.

Not much more to report, doing a little knitting, a little gardening and today my shoulders are hurting. Did too much maybe?

Tomoz I got to have a renal ultrasound, as the body scan showed up my left kidney is not working that good, Heck I knew that years ago, after a ultrasound picked up I had a huge cyst on it, but the docs didnt seem that concerned so I thought it wasnt that bad. Probably still isnt, but we check anyways. OMG I cant have my morning coffee, helppppppppppp I will need a iv of caffeine when I get back home at lunch. LOL

Ive started skeining up the 1kg of off white wool I have here to dye to make my jumper out of. Cant wait though Im a little worried on how the colours will go etc, dying wool is so hit and miss hey.

Ok gunna go knit somemore and rest. Im killing myself here. haha

But yanno life gets away from you really. With finishing tafe and then my babies leaving for another state, and my boy is home for the holidays and then Xmas and oh golly gez, you all know what I mean.

Ok I havent been doing alot.... went and seen specialist, had a full body bone scan and I have arthritis in my shoulders, wrists, hands, ankles, and even my toes ewww and Ive had some more treatment for my hips which has taken the pain barrier from a 10+++++++ to a more reasonable 2-4 on a fish scale... lol

Yes my babies have left the building, Smell and Skye are now in South Australia enjoying the company of the other grandparents, referred to a "grumpy and grandma". I think I like my nanny status. Smell is still looking for a house and staying with her nana till she finds somewhere suitable.

Its soooooooooooooooooooooo quiet around here, I feel like crying sometimes. I keep finding little things of Skyes, like clothes and toys. *sigh*

So onto some pics.... Firstly for those that didnt get one in the mail, or email a Xmas pic to warm the cockels of ur little heart, Bless her little cotton socks over this.

She wasnt so interested in having a Xmas pic with "u know who" without Skye to hold her hand so the spunk came up with the next best thing really. And soooo cute too.

And onto some wool I dyed in some blue and purple mottled colours with a dash of red, that I thought looked gastly, balled it still looked mmm, then I knit Jim a jumper in it and woooooooooow I really like it, Soooo Im gunna try to replicate it a little if I can, on about 1kg of 10ply I have sitting here I wanna make me a jumper from.

Then I tried some in a reddish hue and Im wondering what will come of that. I think that will be a little hat for Skye for winter.

Im on a "I WILL NOT BUY YARN" diet for at least 6 months thing, and getting rid of some stashover the next few weeks so keep a eye on here for details..... there will be yarn and books, and some patterns.

I am sooo over "she who dies with the most stash wins" thing and am into "she who dies with the best stash wins". I want some nice wool and alpaca and bamboo and cashmere etc, but I have to destash first. I have 4-5 jumpers for me planned and some for skye and brins.

Im finishing my Branching out scarf atm, forgot why I didnt finish it last year. Now I just gotta work out what to do with it. Sell it, Gift it, dont think I wanna keep it , I just wont get to wear it.

My aim for the next 6months is to finish all UFO's or at least have the decency to give em a proper burial and frog em, to knit what jumpers I WANT and then to make for others.... in that order I hope. maybe with a variation here and thee hahaha.

Ive lost all my buttons etc at the side, but once Smell id settled she will be taking over the designing of my blog and all with reappear.

Im back and got some various pics thats been happening here at chez shazzy's

firstly my socks from the online sock wool I purchased from Geekos at the beginning of the year. I soooo excelled myself in making them identical too hey haha

Next we have pics of Brins going to a pirates and princesses party. Obviously she doesnt see herself princessy. Outfit was picked up in dribs and drabs from opshop, total cost.....$3.... Eyepatch was knitted in black 4ply cotton. There are black cut off pants to go with it. Notice the parrot, made a hell of a noise. lol
And a pic of her as Dorothy from Wiz of OZ.... She had the shinest Red shoes Ive seen lol. This was for book week, and she won best dressed

Next Tuesday Im off to the specialist cause my doctor thinks I have Rhuematoid Arthritis, cause the bursititis in my hips is still going even after 3 major killing injections into the hip bursae... its in both hips and with the pain in my hands and elbows, and my feet are hurting now too.... its likely thats what I have. This is causing problems all over ...

I want a job, but I cant atm cause of this, some days are hard to get around and Ive got centrelink on my back wanting to know what I intend to do next year, well how the hell do I know hey, thats 3 months away. And if they think I can afford to pay a daycare for 8 weeks of the holidays so I can get a casual job that may or may not call me to work on a daily basis they can drop of the centre of the earth..... Well actually Im sitting at Tafe thinking I really should do a post, Ive been wanting to for the past 2 weeks, but yanno like gets away from you and I still didnt do it.

Ok news in detail.... Making myself some socks from Live2knit's tutti fruity 4ply that I have dubbed fruit tingles. They are slowly coming along, with the spunks homespun alpaca socks and a blanket Im doing a row or two a night.

Mel is moving to South Australia in a few weeks, OMG what will I do without my girls. I will miss my smelly and skye hey.

The spunk is staying at my place atm, while he sells his house and then I guess he will leave and move away. I am trying not to think of that, cause I dont know what hes thinking. I dont know what life holds. And I admit Im sooo scared.

Oh well life goes on I guess.

Ok here goes. Actually the spunk posted the last bit from a draft I started and thought Id lost when the puter froze..... OMGoddess he found my blog. *blank stare*.

Mind you I have started a "mini stash" in my bedroom in a spare drawer. I will have to rectify that, cause the whole idea of this workroom was that apart from the imediate thing Im knitting everything else stayed in that room. I have soooooooo many knitting books I didnt realise hey, I have a bookshelf in the that I will fill easily, when I pack em in there, atm they are piled on the bench and believe me those orange curtains u can see a climpse of ARE GOING... lol gross

The puter is up and running, thanks to my sweet sister Kim. Shes such a genius (in case shes reading this) and cause Im so blonde I couldnt do it. Well duh Im not a brainy person sometimes.

So Ive got some pics..... I can do that right ..... or can I ???? LOL
Firstly there is a pic of the front of my house. Notice the roses. They are like 30+ years old some of them and OMGODDESS they are gorgeous, some opening up to the size of a dinner plate too. Hey what you think about my fish tank in the wall. This separates the loungeroom and dining. Very retro.

Check this out for a light hey..... Ive never really seen one in a house before. I recall a caravan somewhere. This is on a brick wall painted green in my loungeroom. I think its a feature wall?

And heres a pic of my kitchen ....See the cupboard in the corner it swivels all the way around... sorta like a spice rack I guess..... the cupboards are all angled and sorta caravany in a caravany way. I personally think the original owners (who moved out a few months ago, dreamed of a gypsy life) And from what I hear they are travelling around Australia, so maybe the house was the preparation lol ...... Oh Oh Oh I have to show you the wall paper in my kitchen and dining... I love it

And a final shot for today of roses out of my garden.

I have to say I am soooooooooooooooooooooo happy here hey. Including the severe allergy to the privet bushes out the back that, that gorgeous spunk of mine is getting rid of for me tomorrow. Hes a gem hey.
At the moment I have the hound dog staying with me while the spunk gets a new fence up, shes so sweet too.
Brins is thrilled, she has a huge games room up the back she can play all day in. And being school hols I guess I wont see her much.... yipppeee (ooops).

Knitting wise.....

havent done much at all. hands hurt, trying to do swatches for once mentioned designer, but heck whats the point in making rectangles really, gunna pack it all up this week and send back with a sorry note. A woman cant function if nothing comes from it I say........ Or as I said to the spunk, look what I have been reduced to knitting..... sheesh. But I wanna make Skye a teddy, so thats next.... Just gunna do what I WANT for a bit. ... when I WANT, with no timeframes.

I have also learned mosiacs past month and I find it quite relaxing, so Im gunna do more of that now I have a big back patio.... (to be shown in next blog, with my KNITTINGROOM) and pics of yard. Am gunna make me a big table for out the back covered in mosiac.... just need a design or a idea atm.

Ok its taken me all day to get this done, had smell and the heff over and the spunk this arvo after work and picked brins up from her dads, so its now dinner and I wanna go sit for a bit....

computerless atm...

Lots happening.... Bought a drop spindle of ebay and it included a cd of instructions ( that between you, me and the garden gate I dont understand) Anywhos, thats the only cd thats been near my puter and I havent downloaded anything , but puter is broken now... Still trying to fix and atm using libraries cause the spunk is computerless too, but he rebooted his as in put his boot thru it lol.

Also moving to a new and bigger house in 2 weeks and its so retro 70's its so me haha.

Skye getting bigger and last night crawled around lounge floor for her nanny. good girl. she will drive her mother batty, Paybacks a bitch I say.

this is what my Saturday arvo consisted off. The spunk has a mate thats a pilot who promised me almost a year ago to go flying... well due to him being overseas or me working or being caught up with Brins etc I have missed out till now.

I had a ball, well ok except maybe it was too early to go flying after being so sick and I had a sinus attack where it felt like a hot poker being stabbed through my eye. But hey what could be more pleasant than a arvo flying.

this is to the other side, Where the spunk and I wanna live.
OMG you all say, "you live near the ocean and wanna move away"......ummm hell yeah, we live near the refineries that use that ocean.... Besides, how can I have sheep and chooks here. I need space hahaha

And me scoffing myself with red wineover the school hols, Brins took this pic. Im on a red wine and junk food diet, Since giving up smoking 6 months ago I have put on almost 10 KILOS>>>>> OMGODESSS

Started the spunks other socks and have put em down for a bit while I make the heff some socks and Brins needs more socks, she outgrew the lovely ones Katt made for her. I need socks too. I made myself these and the spunks washing machine stole one. Its been 2 months and I still cant find this missing sock anywhere.

Today I officially became a student again. Im doing a tafe course for the next semester doing some business thingy.

And my biggest news, My hands hurt, like they really really hurt, esp my thumbs, Im having trouble knitting, I feel like its all gunna end. Maybe I just need a damn good rest of em, I dont know. HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

Also in breaking news, look what the spunk bought for moi to use. I love it. A retro kitchenette to make more beautiful. Ok so it may not be ur cup of tea, but it suits his old kitchen really well. And besides I finally got more bench space lol.

Its taken me since yesterday to get the pics up so today is now Wednesday and the cherub starts back at school today, yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee yahooooooooo. And I have my orientation day at tafe. Mmmm wonder if theres a knitting group there, we are opposite spotlight haha.

Still sick but feeling a....

tad betterer.

Sheesh talk bout sick hey. Thought I was ready to die, wasnt just a slight cold as I thought. I think I had the flu, still got it but at least Im not feeling like Im on my deathbed today. I thought I was over it on Saturday and ended up back at the spunks, thinking I was ok. Then it hit my chest. oh golly gee. But today besides I still got the mucus thingy happening at least my brain feels like mine again.

So what Ive been doing besides dying, I made the spunk his socks for his birthday and its like a crime to get them off his feet, as I was finishing them off and sewing in ends etc, he was putting them on his feet. He loves them so much and Im sooo glad.Im atm making a 2nd pair so at least I can get these in wash more, lol. Made using Cleckheaton Country Naturals 8ply, I love this wool for socks as it has viscose and akkkrylic, but only 10% so just enuff to add some strength too. It also has like little slubs of a brown yarn all thru it. Hence the "natural" thingy. Doesnt look so bad mixed with Malamute fur either haha
I used the blueberry waffle pattern (google it) and have now got it downpat for his feet, my feet and brins feet sizes.

Also I made and finished a jumper for once said designer, using a silk mix yarn in like chunky. loved the wool, the colour didnt do anything for me, but loved the jumper when completed. I like doing this knitting, I get to knit stuff out of wool I know I would never be able to afford to buy myself.

I want to make me a jumper now, I bought a few weeks ago 18 balls of the wool Kmart had on special. I think its a 12 ply or abouts so I will start thinking bout what I want over the next few days and get that started. I have 12 balls of white and 6 in the pink.

We had a bit of a stormy few days 2 weeks ago and for those that read my blog last year would know we had a tornado hit thru our area in May last year that did heaps of damage. But this year we took measures to protect that we love yes its the Harley in the loungeroom. The shed it resides in started to shake and rattle, so we hauled it inside for a few days.

Ok well not much has really happened, its school hols here and Im on my bestest behaviour. lol Nah Brins has been really good actually, Poor thing was sick for a few days too0, shes going to her dads tomorrow for 3 days so Im soooooooooo looking forward to that hey, Me and the spunk will just chill out and enjoy the silence I think.

Oh I got a new puter desk, well actually its the spunks, His puter broke so I got the desk haha. Feels funny cause Its clean and doesnt have all my shit on it yet.

Ok Im gunna go and scoff down more chook and garlic soup and sit and knit his socks for a bit.

LOOKING DESPERATLY: for a Alan Dart (i think) knitting pattern for Piggley Winks that UK show that is on ABC.... the spunk loves this show and I would love to make him a piggley of his own and brins loves the duck.
Any help appreciated, Looked on ebay and usual other places. Does anyone have a copy of this pattern??????

Im not dead yet, just havent been home. I said this unit was a storage unit. lol

Knitting wise. I havent done that much actually. Finished some little mittens for the heffs cold hands. Started and done the back of a sleeveless polo neck top for brins in angora supremo. From a pattern in a US family circle knitting book. Does anyone else have a prob with dry hands using this angora stuff. My hands are a mess.
Am knitting for a designer atm to make some pocket money and already ready to tear my hair out, feel like Ive lost my mind really. I cant get tension and I dont have a tension prob as a rule, but wow Ive dropped 2 needle sizes and its still 1/2 st out. Needless to say it is staring at me and today is not the day to attempt it again. So Im going to make me a black beanie and make my hands soft with some nice soft pure wool. I have a nice woven Harley D badge to go on the front of it.

Katt asked what I happened to the other kitties from the last post.... well Smell took one called George and Fred, Harry and cant remember the girl cats name went to 2 of donuts friends. All thriving and doing well. We tried to keep all cats in the family so to speak and from both litters, we all have one or 2 and friends have the others.

The spunks daughter turns 18 next week and Im sooooo not ready for that. I have to look for a gift yet and Im stumped, she really doesnt need anything knitted, cause she has some already. I was thinking some of those nice fluffy cushions from thingz or something for the back of her car. I will have to search next week and see what takes my eye.

I got the new Simply Knitting mag and yeah I liked a few things, Mel loves the bonus Debbie bliss book, shes decided it might be quicker to make Heff some things herself. haha. The new Creative Knitting came in handy on Wednesday as the spunk went to have a gastrothingy, where they put the camera down ur throat, and we got to the hospital at 11 and didnt leave till after 5 so with my knitting, my podcasts and the mag I was a happy camper for a few hours. I love the vest in there, just not the colours. The baby things didnt do anything for me but I enjoyed having a browse all the same.

The spunk has 5 weeks holidays starting next week, so I will prob spend alot more time there, but will try to get home and post as I can.

Ok Im off to ring this designer and ask what the hell as this pattern is not right..... Its sooo not me, Ive checked and had it checked to make sure I wasnt mad hehe.

its been bloody ages, but yanno I am a busy woman...... mwahahaha who am I kidding.
So instead of just dribbling. I have a week and more of pics.

Whats happening around here... well my hip still hurts, seems the injection of steroids and local anastuff didnt work and I will have to get another one done in a few weeks, until then, I have a new friend. Her name is Willow and shes my walking stick lol.
Had a ride of the bike, not bad if we stop every 10 mins or so, so I can stretch, u can see we are getting around fast here then haha.

Ive been knitting, scroll down to veiw a bit of that. well really I been doing a little of everything BUT resting.... I so get in trouble for that, but yanno I cant sit still. I have ants in my pants, well thats what my nanna used to tell me.

Giselle would be about 1 yr old now. Im not sure but she looked young when she came to us with child(s)
and then Miss Lulu is about 6 months. Very hard to tell apart except they have different mouths and that Giselle has a scar on her side still healing from being desexed.

ok onto knitting, firstly we have some booties I been making... all with sparkly bits or beads or sequins etc. gotta be girly. The heff has a small collection I cant get pics of atm. Also here is Brins red slippies I knitted and felted last week. I just need some puffy paint for the bottom to make non slip then some beads and sequins and shes ready to keep her toesies warm too. Just a bootie patterns, 2 strands 8ply wool bigger needles and felt.

Scarf I was making for the spunks daughter, its in spotlight's Moda Vera, "Parade" in purple. Brins also got a small one from the left overs and a pink pluffy one too.
Brins was also lucky enuff I got myself lost in spotlight and bought some of the Moda Vera in "Piuma" and made her this.... modelled by the lovely Mr Jim. Brins is fully into pompoms atm and heck for ackrylic this is surprisly soft and I will be making some more to sell.

The spunk went to the V8 Supercars here in Perth on mothers day and got me a great showbag thingy from the coporate box he was lucky enuff to be in. Great new knitting bag it would be too, with a bucket hat with V8 supercars on it. Also these lovely flowers came my way, Orchids too, so nice.

Also this week Kmart had a heap of wool 100% here wool going on special.... very nice I must say considering I laybyed like3-4kgs hahaha. but I grabbed these balls and made a long skinny scarf for me or to sell. I cant decide atm. Its a mix of reds, oranges and pinks

This wool is what I picked up at the op shop the other week. 12 balls shepard 8ply orange 100% wool and this alpaca, in natural colours for the spunks house socks.

went to xray etc and got the needle.... yes I have Bursitis..... and yes I didnt rest after the needle and now Im paying for it big time....

Knitting stuff..... Ive finished Skyes hat... made her 2 pairs of ballet booties and 2 pairs to sell, made brins a slipper to felt and doing no 2 tonight and will felt tomorrow....

wne opshopping and picked up 12 balls of shepards 8ply wool in ornage at $1 a ball instead of $4 a ball..... and some home spun alpaca and sheep.... thats for the spunks socks to hangaround in... lol.... ok]

some knitted item pics to add to todays post ....

Firstly we have brins scarf/neckwarmer modelled by the lovely Mr Jim Bear, its made from a ball of Panda 'coconut ice" that Brins bought with her own money from the bargain bin in spotlight last week. Cost her $1.00, she also bought a ball of Fiddlesticks "gelati" in pinks for $1.50. Ive taught her well I say. lol

Next we have Skyes side to side jacket made from the cursed lilac merino bambino and some lovely aqua bambino. 1 strand each.... 3 lamb buttons adorn this jacket.

Brins school beanie and hand warmers, hard to see on the purple lounge but they are done in navy cleckheaton country 12ply.

Next we have the start of Skyes hat I promised to make today, well I started it...lol Have been playing with Skye today and shes sleeping ova tonight so not much knitting getting done atm.
Knitted with cleckheaton country 8ply in white and the hot pink is Angora Supremo. It will eb a square topped hat with tassles on either side. Brins wants one too so I will do hers in the pink with white trim.

Ok I will leave you with my other fav little girl, shes 5 months and 4 days old today, sheesh how time has flyed hahaha *sigh*

I used all my broadband allowance in one day on downloading podcasts and puter was hell slow after that hahaha.. seee I said I was addicted to em.

Ok I said I was going to do a "shazzy wazzy wooo" story. So I will start with that.... Yes Shazzy Wazzy Wooo is me. Nickname for like forever.

I was born in Camden NSW in 1966 and am the youngest of 5 kids, I have 2 older bros and sis's. I grew up in the suburb of Greenacre in Sydney and attended school there and travelled to Bankstown to go to highschool. I went to a all girls highschool and spent alot of my time hanging over the fence or the balcony looking at the boys playing footy on the oval.

I was not one of the popular kids, but I had heaps friends and sat on fence I guess. I also played up heaps in class, was obnoxious, the class clown sorta and drank, smoked and swore alot. Also wore my own style of clothing, a x between bogan, punk, hippy and whateva else I could find. Funny thing is I still wear my own type of clothing, which some days makes the spunk cringe... its normal to see me in a bright green velvet skirt with orange jumper and whateva else I can put with it, like pink shoes. oh hade hahahahaha. Serious its true though.
I failed knitting and sewing in primary school and after my teacher yanked it all away. I indulged at home with my nanna. I failed first year sewing at high school and chose to do cooking instead. And heck I can cook. BUT yanno I can knit and am a creative person. I try my hand at almost anything and normally get the knack of it before I decide its not me and go back to knitting.
My mother was a professional knitter, she supplied local people and shops with knitted goods and the hospital with booties for the premies. But that was it, she wasnt my kind of mother. So I lived with my nanna as much as possible. My nanna was a crocheter and heck she would make the most amazing blankets, small ones and some that would cover 2 king size beds. Her place was always overflowing with wool and I guess thats where I got my love for it. My mothers sister are all creative too, with either spinning, knitting, sewing or other crafts.
My first knitted item we wont discuss to say it was a tea cosy when I was 7 at school and pffft.
The first knitted item for a child of mine was a little jumper in yellow 4ply feathersoft stuff I knicked from my mother and needless to say you would have had to have broken Fionas arms to get it on her hahaha. But the stitches were even and it was ok for a first try. Over the years I made a few other things, mostly jumpers for my little man Snotty, where as I would then ship them off to mother to have them sewn and the neck done.. LOL I couldnt do that.
Then I stopped. I took it up again 6 years ago when Brins was born and she was such a good baby I was bored as shit hey. I had been a career woman and sitting at home again was hell. BUT hey I love knitting.

moving on .... Im rambling here.... I have been married 2 times, both to soldiers and no I didnt learn after the first one cause my ex introduced me to my 2nd hubby. This is my 3rd time to Perth, only this time Im staying. I have also lived in Victoria, Queensland, Sydney again and travelled over most of the country.
Thats enuff of the crap for now. I will put other things up as they need to be revealed. Or as people ask questions.

Now for some knitting content.... Yanno I though this year I had been really lazy in some aspects concerning my knitting. I didnt feel like I have really accomplished much at all. So I sat and wrote it all down...

*Making some more clothes for skye including the jumper I have in my head atm and the hat I said I would make today lol
*Finishing my lone sock
*Finishing sewing up brins monkey(yes yes Im lazy)
*Making heaps hats and scarves to sell at markets (I need to destash somewhat and make money to buy more wool)
*Make me a jumper or cardi in some lovely soft mohairy stuff I bought last year from Ozyarn.
*Make some socks for brins and skye.
*Make the spunk and me matching socks with a harley logo on em (dreaming here)
*Make me a black beanie to wear under my helmet.
*Finish my olympic scarf to wear on bike

Sounds like alot to do, but Im gunna do it and heaps more lol.

Things that have happened this week include.... Brins being home from school. First week back from hols and she has a cold, damn that ex lol. Its his fault I say he had her the weekend. Im not feeling the best, think I am getting it now.
Havent seen spunk since Monday and am having withdrawals from him (hopefully will see tonight or tomorrow).
Finally got my ponds fixed after a suprise rent inspection last week, where I lost the plot and flipped my little lid. I have the aircon man coming today too. Amazing what can happen when you threaten to sue and call the media. haha.
Tomorrow I go to get the xray and ultrasound on my hip. Im hoping Ive just pulled a huge muscle or something cause I wanna go riding Friday with my man, and Im NOT missing it hey. I will have to be dying to get me off that bike. Im willing to cut down my riding now that winter is coming anyway, but I will NOT stop riding altogether, Sorry Doc.

Ok Im going to have a nice HOT shower and get in my daggy warm clothes cause its bloody freezing here atm

one to let you know Im still alive...

firstly I have a pain sooo huge I wanna cry in my hip. (the pain not the crying lol). Ive been having pins and needles in my left hip for a few months now and esp at night I find it really shitty to get comfy. A few weeks ago it got painful and the spunk assured me the docs was where I needed to be, so I did and now I have to go have a xray and ultrasound on my hip on Thursday. He thinks it may be Bursitis or something like that. Google it if you wanna read more.
Im feeling like a bloody old woman now *sob*. Hence why no blogging has been done. I cant sit still for longer than a few mins at a time. Sooooooo instead I have found podcasts..... Oh my golly Im addicted hey. Does anyone else listen to podcasts?????? there are a few good knitting ones around and a few good comedy ones....

Does anyone have a basic pattern to make a hat using feathers for a baby.??????.. or 46cm heffer head lol. I cant seem to get it right... it keeps growing at me. I would appreaciate it. I dont really fancy buying a pattern so a freebie would be great. Im trying to stashbust atm, and found some pink crap I wanna make the heff some hats etc with.

Im doing a little dance here. Brins jacket is done, completed, finished. Heck Im in love with it too. Finished it on the weekend and besides the fact I didnt block but will when I wash it etc,
I think its lovely... (collar up view)

The spunk says Im clever ooooo, isnt that sweet.
AND I have enuff of the wool left over to make her a matching hat, when I get the chance. Meanwhile Ive been slowly doing some rows on the heffs little lacy jumper. Only a few rows since last entry.

Pics of the heff taken on Friday or was it Thursday, who knows lol. She was filling her little face with a bickie. Sheesh can that girl make a mess haha

Hope everyone had a great long weekend. We did, didnt go out riding but enjoyed the weekend at home with the spunks daughter. Its been a cold brrr few days ova here in the west. So sitting around snuggled up, with me knitting away was just what was needed.

School hols are on us and I am not gunna enjoy this, I can tell you. Already day 1 and Im outta pocket a few $$$ mmm. but we have hit the library and so shes got some vids, dvds and books to occupy her brain tomorrow.

Also to those remotely interested, smell has made her mummy a button to share. Shes gunna eventually redo my whole blog template for me but this is a start. Feel free to take from here just save to ur puter. I will get it permantly on the side bar when time permits....

Happiest woman ever atm...
I have possibly the last 3 balls available of the wool I was after in the dyelot I wanted. Managed to find it amongst balls of stuff in Crossways Wools in Subiaco..... It wasnt easy to find either due to all the other dyelots sitting there and some mixed in with the bag I found these three beauties. And it blew my cheap as chips jacket out the window cause for these three balls alone I paid $3 less than I did for the original 10 balls I bought on sale crap hey. Oh well they are mine and I will have this jacket finished in the next few days.
While I been waiting I been knitting stuff and this is the latest thing to come onto the needles thanks to the startitis virus I have. A little lacework jumper for the heff in Red Heart Soft Baby I picked up at Spotlight. Its called Frolic and is sooo pretty even for acccckrylic yarn. $5 a ball enuff to make some pretty for her. I will just put this down now while I go back to brins jacket. Dont ya just love the background colour of my lounge. I never get bored of looking at it. Its soooo gorgeous.
Katt have you found that cure yet for startitis, I think Im needing it.

Ok I have spent the morning driving around Perth doing stuff and me and Smell called into Woolly Lattes in Wembley.... have to say I wasnt really that impressed. I dont know what I thought it would be like, and it was a lovely shop dont get me wrong, but it wasnt my kind of shop... They had some Rowan there, Cleckheaton, Jo Sharp. heaps of Jo stuff in books and wool and frivioulous stuff by Pamela. Im sorta well ova the novelty yarns. They are sooo passe for moi. Some needles by Lisa G, and other bits and pieces. And basically that was it. We had a coffee which was nice, no food cause it obviously wasnt a Gluten Free day in there today and I browsed and didnt buy.... Now for me NOT to BUY something theres a HUGE problem hey. Even Smell agreed as a newbie knitter that she wasnt impressed.
Yanno for quite a few years now this has the been the shop I have wanted. A knitting cafe. Back to those days when Brins was a baby and I was on Maternity leave my brain was sorting thru making this shop happen. But alas money never came around and when it did a few years and a divorce later I spent it on other things, like new furniture, stuff for kids and a harley. I would do everything different to this shop. I wanna supply Perth with alot of natural stuff including fleece etc from local farmers esp alpaca and angora etc. Lots of homespun stuff. Home dyed and stuff yanno lol. Lots of gluten free foods, funky music, kewl couches and help yaself coffee. But until I win lotto it just aint gunna happen now lol. But heck I love the harley hahaha

So because I have spent the morning out I have 1 hour before its time to get Brins and Im gunna go watch the last dvd of Darling Buds of May and knit... ahhhh knitting. Its soooo destressing.

ok So I have calmed down and feeling a bit betterer. I spent the weekend curled up on the couch with the spunk, sneezing and crying and feeling like shit as it were. Even started to swell up a bit last night, that was scary. I knew the other day I wasnt feeling the best and it hit me hard on the weekend. Friday I was not myself. But Ive done a little knitting. And today I managed to get some groceries done, so we wont starve the week. Still not 100% but will just take it easy for a few more days. Damn Viruses should be banned I say.
I made Brins these on Friday night and Saturday morning while she was cleaning her room, the spunk was at work and I was watching disc 3 & 4 of the "darling Buds of May" series. I borrowed them from the library, cause it was always one of my fav shows. I so wanna be like Flo, shes my kind of woman. hahaha. Ok They are made with Shepards colour 4 me 8ply in the shades of blue, yellow, green and orange. Its a self stripping stuff. And I managed to make them identical.
I also knitted some of my Olympic scarf, yes yes that was ages ago but yanno I neva did finish it. But I am doing my ribbed bit on the neck then to do other side, so I hope to have it finished for this Friday for riding on the bike. Poor man is not exactly thrilled I intend wearing pink but heck its a nice contrast with the black leather I say. Besides its baby pink Merino/Angora mix and I love it and its mine mine mine . So *rasberries* at ya babe.

I also managed to start and almost complete one sleeve of Brins "mystery jumper" its a mystery cause yanno I really dont know what the hell Im doing but just making it up as I go. So I crocheted granny squares, joined em and am knitting on dpns the sleeve in the same mix of orange and pink as the body. Hopefully it will all come to me before winter finishes hahaha. Its soooooo gunna be a hippy top I need one too.
Speaking of bloody winter. Hello Im still friggen waiting for summer. Did someone forget us in the west. Oooops I forgot thats what WA stands for the "wait awhile" state. Well Im waiting for summer. I only just took the quilt off the bed a month back and last night it was cold enuff to have it back on. Talk about shit me off. I love winter, I love rain and overcast days etc etc etc, BUT I wanted a little summer too. Cant ride the bike when its raining and cold yanno.

Ok enuff of my little goss, my little head is starting to ache, its been a hard day doing the groceries and beleive me it took 4 hours to do it all. Im gunna go sit and watch 30 mins of my disc and chill before the cherub comes home and life begins again

Ok the usual, been busy, been not here etc etc

what have I been up to hey mmmm

Been on a few rides on the bike, (need to finish that bloody pink scarf for that too, brrrrr), been here maybe bout 3 days in the past 14. So not much is really happening around here. I did sort out my little corner I used to shove my stuff on and now it looks more pleasant to look at, whipped out some jars to store my needles and generally tidied up the books and mags. This is the first thing thats seen from the doorway of my study so I was always conscience of the way it was.

Done some knitting while at the spunks, not as much as I could have or would have, had I not cut my thumb on a potato peeler and bloody hell it was killing for a few days hey, too red and angry to knit with. Bit of shock for him that I wasnt knititng I think, but he made me cuppas and we ate some chocolate and he tended to my sore with elastoplast so all is good, and yesterday I managed a few rows. And to help move ova 400 pavers we managed to get for free.

Progress on Brins cardi has gone slow for me. I have done the back and 1 & 3/4 sleeves. (I like to do these first or second as not to leave em till sleeve island where I can ignore em)
<<<<The fronts will be started today but I may come to a standstill as I am still afraid I will run out of wool. So anyone that hasnt checked their stash for that lonesome ball of cleckheaton merino supreme I urge ya .... HELPPPPPPPPPPPP . While browsing on my old puter stuff the other day I found these I will share with ya. This was a jumper I did for Brins ooooo bout 4 years ago. Made with cleckheaton country and just a jumper I designed liked and made, she loved it and this year will be her first year she wont wear it *sob*. Time to pass it on
And remember the very first issue of Creative Knitting we all gushed over. Everyone was making these shawls using their scraps, this is mine.... I put the buttons on it and since then have hated them, this year they come off. Yes I still use mine. Its warm and cosy. I have some feathers in there, but most of it was made with wool, mohair, alpaca, and angora. I didnt bring this out last winter unless I was home alone. I was scared that it would scare off the spunk But hes so got used to what I knit and wear now. This past weekend has been a little chilly and I could have done with it, so it comes out of hiding to be shown and admired. (or hated if you want)
This Pic is of me. Brins took it the other week on her camera. Poor kid just hasnt got the hang of pic taking yet, but shes improving. Think it would have been a great pic without the suns ray all over it, but it adds mystery I say. U can see me but ya cant hahaha. Id just had my hair cut a few days before and since then its grown back the inch I lost and another.
Ok I need to go and find some clothes, since we aint home much most of my wardrobe lives in my car and other places. I have a heap of washing from the weekend and the spunk has the day off so I dont wanna waste it doing the mundane. Hes off visiting his mates this morning so I wanna get done before he gets home.

what the hell I have bought and what am I gunna make with it....lol
I was browsing at the oppy shop, as you do. There is always heaps and heaps of cones of yarns etc. I have often admired some, but always looked and put back. Till today. Today I touched and this was sooooooo soft. Ok The label inside says....
Cashmilon Turbo Yarn.... and some numbers but thats it. Made in Singapore. I would say its a 1 ply, but in saying that I have never seen a 1 ply hahaha. Its a cream colour and there is alot of it.
What the hell do I do with it????? I welcome all suggestions. BTW I do have some of those under 1mm needles if that will help suggestions lol.

Ok in other stuff. I tried and tried to do the heff that funky hat yesterday but yanno it was a pain in the arse so after bout 2 hours I gave up. Yanno I now realise why I dislike "novelty yarns". I just cant get it right. But I will perservere, just not this year hahaha.
Instead I was a BAD BAD BAD BAD girl and started Brins jacket, Im so bad hey. This is the start of the back. Its done in Cleckheaton Merino Supreme, and if any one has the light blue Im looking for a spare ball or two. Im not sure now I have started I will have enuff *oops*. Its colour 2219 and the dyelot is 739067 but ya neva know if someone has some in their stash they are willing to sell moi, I would be happy to buy lol.
Ive done another set of rows since I took this pic, it grows so fast and Ive got the hang of the pattern now, so the back should take me till tomorrow to finish.

Just been browing on the auspinners site and wow I want this book hey, and yesterday I seen Stitch n bitch has a crochet book out. Happy Hookers I sooooooooooooo want that book too.

well not much else has happened. Im off to make some bread in my breadmaker, put some soup on, I am making potato and spinach soup for dinner and I have some knitting to do and some dvds to watch. I be back lata maybe.

another day lol

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I had the bestest. Im soo in love its sick hahaha
Saturday I was up very very early getting my crap organised for the market/trash stall. I ended up making bout $132 from our crap. Sold a few scarves and a jumper I made a few years ago. Forget the bbq as I previously mentioned. We just spent it on us. hahaha.

Watched Corpse Bride and Wolf Creek. Have to admit we both wanted to see Corpse Bride and wasnt really impressed with it. But we've seen it now hey. Wolf Creek was good. Im still glad we didnt pay to go to the movies to see it. But it was weird, gross, strange and a few other names all rolled into one.

Sunday seen us up early to go for a ride. We spent ALL day on the bike and believe me I really had a numb bum by the time we got home. Did the lot, Breaky, ride along the coast, around some nice suburbs, beach, and then off country to our favorite pub. Another long trip around the back ends of southern Perth and home. All up bout 6 hours of riding with stops in between.

Pub was a little dissapointing this time. We have made this country pub our "local" even though we dont live there, but its where we hope to move to when we sort ourselves out. Food was grrrr. Ok we ordered 2 sirlion steaks, well done not burnt. How long would you expect this to cook hey hey hey??????????????. I can cook this and vegies in 20 mins ready on table. And thats on my little stove not a fully equipt kitchen. After waiting 30 mins and watching other people that arrived after us get their meals. I went to enquire and was told it would be out in a minute. 15 mins later it still hadnt arrived and I was getting really annoyed. I went and approached the bar and kitchen to find out if it was coming cause otherwise we didnt want it. (we were ova the hunger by then). I was informed because I ordered well done it took longer. Hello DO THEY TAKE ME FOR A FUKWIT????????? Ive worked on that side of the bar in the kitchen of a pub. I KNOW HOW LONG FOOD TAKES. Ive cooked it hey. Thing was they hadnt done our food. When it finally arrived nearly ONE HOUR later it was tough and we didnt enjoy it. HENCE we wont be eating there again. We love the pub and will continue to drink there, just not eat. Letter in writing and just bout to email this morning. I will not be treated as a idiot. And the customer service leaves alot to be worked on. I used to get my head chewed when I stuffed peoples food up and my job was to pacify people, offer things, free drinks, refund on food, APOLOGY..... NONE of those were evident. Ok Ive ranted enough lol

Do you like the hat I whipped up for Brins yesterday, she wanted a pompom on it but I think its too big and spoils it. Made with Angora supreme in hot pink. It has a lacy edge and the pattern can be found here

Gunna whip up a little hat today for the heffalump. Do you like what Im using? Its spotlights Moda Vera "chelsea" its funky. LOL. Im trying to get all these little kids things done so I can make mine and the spunks matching aran knits.
Brins will be getting a hat to match her red striped jumper and a jacket using merino supreme in light blue. Im using a Debbie Bliss pattern called Caitlin from her junior knits book. Sorta looks like a denim jacket but I will change it slightly lol.
Im just doing her arms of her mystery Zhivargo jumper. Its bright. Its funky and hell she betterer like it hahaha. Cant wait to get it all done, The heffalump needs a few little things too.

Kitties are 4 weeks old today, still smaller than the last lot but cute all the same. I wanna try to start weaning them a little late this week. This was the blankie I was finishing last week. Notice I have a weird square, thats the one I was still working on. I wanted something out of left field and so I think it looks good, Edged in a simple crochet. Im happy with it. Other squares were in Royal blue, Mid green, Lavender and a grey.

Ok Enuff, Im going to make this hat for the heffalump and get it finished before tonight so I can finish a few other small things.

Ok I been busy, I been lazy and I can be full of bullshit.

Well whats been going on in this wonderful life hey......

Smell and my baby girl are in SA for 2 weeks visiting rellies, so Im getting little updated pics everyday. This one came this morning, wearing a little hat I whipped up last Saturday for her (while I was hosting a Garage Sale)
Made from Caressa in the pink/purple mix.
Also made her a little bright colourful hat which hopefully will get a pic of soon.

Kitties are all fine. they are growing heaps, nearly 3 weeks old now and sooo sweet. But Im over kitties now and wish they would just grow up and leave home mwahahahaha

Brins is loving her new school and learns alot every day. Shes adjusted well to a "normal" school and hopefully she will continue liking it. Shes become a obnoxious biatch atm and I cant stand it. Shes started lying and talking back and gotta have the last word and shes driving me bloody balmy I tell ya. Shes going to her dads this weekend, so I intend to enjoy my time away from her.

The spunk is great, we've just spent the past week there. Unfortunatly my place is just becoming a storage house for my stuff. We are hardly ever here any more. But then with the shitty, noisy, rude, obnoxious, nasty, potty mouthed, persons that live above me, no wonder why. We cant sleep when we are here. Brins doesnt wanna be here. I dont either, and the spunk is being a darl letting us stay at his place and invading his private mens business stuff lol.

Tuesday saw us on the bike visiting a few pubs, as you do, cause you can hahaha. I was starting to get withdrawals from not being on the bike hey. But this weekend is all ours so hopefully we can go riding.
We had a garage sale last Saturday, spur of the moment stuff. On Friday being totally broke and thinking we were gunna have a crap weekend, we thought "heck lets have a garage sale" so we did. And I might add from our junk we made $200. Pretty darn good and the weekend was great with the extra cash. Went to pay some bills and a drinkie or 6. Im having a stall at the local market/trash sale this Saturday to get rid of the rest of it. Hopefully I will make at least $100 cause I wanna buy a BBQ and I seen a good 4 burner for $99 at a cheap place we have ova here called WA Salvage. Hey any more $$$$ will be a bonus , maybe a nice counter lunch Sunday hahaha

Went to spotlight tis morning..... Um mahhhhh hey, but they had paper patterns on special for $5 instead of $5.55-$25 so I got 2 to make some bags and this material cheap to make em with. I saved $12 each pattern. Pretty hey. Im into green/pink combo atm

In knitting news. I STILL havent FINISHED my knitting olympic scarf. tsk tsk I hear you say. Oh well its been abandoned to the car and gets pulled out for a row here and there, during trips or waiting things. It WILL be finished before winter cause that will be my bike scarf.

Blanket from squares. I just gotta add one more square and edge. Just to go in car for picnics and cold days for brins.
Brins bag I finally finished, done in like a 20ply chenille. so bloody hard to knit and sew up but she bought the yarn herself and I knitted. Little crochet flowers and heart buttons on front.
This is Brins new jumper. Zhivargo yarn..... Granny square trim on bottom, pick up and knit till underarms.... The knitting is done in 2 row pink/2 row orange combo. Granny sqares in green, yellow and pink. I dont know what I plan to do when I hit the underarms yet, but Im sure I will figure it out.
Finished Brins School Cardi. Its blue, its plain and ffs it was soooooo damn boring to do. But it looks lovely. 2 strands of 4ply pure wool. lovely and soft and warm.

Looksee what the spunk bought me at a garage sale the other day..... Ive wanted another bread maker for a couple of years, well since a ex B/F blew mine up. It only cost $5 but hey it works and we have made a few loaves of Gluten free bread since getting it.
Speaking of Gluten Free...... I found in woolies the other day, in the cold section where they sell those rolls of biscuit dough..... Yup Gluten FREE biscuit dough mix..... Choc Chip. bloody yummy, I made some after dinner last night and they were all gone by this morning. I wonder who ate em all... I swear I didnt eat them all. I did share yanno. Im not a pig. mwahahaha

mmmm just wondering what else is happening around here. Not much. But I been on here for ages now and Im hungry so will catch ya all after weekend. Cause yanno I wont be home. LOL.

The Heffalump woke this morning with her first toof.... Shes only 13 weeks old. sheeesh.

I went and had the blood sucked outta me this morning haha. Well she could have been a vampire, it bloody hurt and she took lots. Hopefully they are ok. Im not gunna ponder on it for the rest of the week till I find out the results.

Just about done with the bloody boring school cardi. I have half a sleeve to go and the band.... but cheating with the band and doing it sideways, cant be stuffed doing 8 stitch crap.
I also have finally finished a gorgeous pink chenille bag brins asked me to do early last year, all sewn, decorated and she loves it.
I will Hopefully get some pics of some finished things this week...my camera is flat and I just not gunna buy batteries till next week.

Ok I have like a hour and a half till I go get her majesty from school so I wanna try finishing this cardi.

Next I wanna do Her majesty and the heffalump matching zhivargo jumpers.... I have the summer colours from last year. (minus the blue... sob sob, bloody couldnt get a ball lol). So I have orange, yellow, pink and green, more of the pink and orange....

Any ideas on how to stripe them????????????

Yes yes and before any of you have a go for me letting her have kitties again. IT WASNT MY FAULT. I swear it. She was still feeding, they wernt totally weaned and in a "dory" voice, she escaped. Little did we know she was pregnant again till it was desexing time. Oh well accidents happen and all is good and everyone is well

This time she popped out 4 kitties in record time. we have 2 Ginger boys, a grey with white feet boy and a bloody torti girl..... Im sooo annoyed at her for the torti. Ive always wanted one never had one and I cant keep this one, grrrrrrrrrr. At the moment she is slightly rejecting a ginger boy, he was the first born and she left him on the loungeroom floor as she wandered off to have the next 2. Today she keeps moving him away from the others. If things dont improve it may be a case of handrearing.

And again shes happy for us to look, feel and admire her offspring. Mel played midwife this time as I was in Freo with the spunk having some tests done. Missed all the excitment.

Life in the past few days was totally shit. I had a little tiff well ok a HUGE tiff with the spunk. but after numerous emails, sms's and grrr stuff all is well again and there will be no more misunderstandings, cause yanno my blood pressure and old heart couldnt handle another weekend like the last. To those shaking their heads saying why the hell didnt she ring him or go and talk this out instead of emails etc, well. to tell you the truth I couldnt, I was sooooooo angry and upset, I would have said and did things I would regret. Besides I couldnt see straight, besides 2 days of crying I had also taken some pain killers for my huge headache and couldnt possibly have walked out of my front door. But as I said all is well, We both realised how much we missed each other just ova 2 days and that we dont wanna fight again. Im happy now.

This morning Im off to have a cholestrol test, my thyroid and diabetes tests. Yanno I never had a prob with dibetes till I was pregnant with brins, and then was ok for a few months then bad again. Type 2, controlled by diet. The thyroid thing has sorta been a ongoing thing that likes to swing either way sometimes, But yanno since I found out I have Coeliac disease and wheat Intollerant and stopped all gluten and wheat products, both conditions improved 100%. TILL NOW. Ive been guzzling soo much water I feel like a fountain atm and thats not good. Hopefully todays tests will come back ok and that the cholestrol is good, cause yanno I love my cholestrol hahaha. Sheeeesh if I cant have my bacon and eggs with all the trimmings every sunday morning with the spunk my life will end.
Ok im off to sort out the childs hair go have these tests and continue on the horror school cardi. hate hate hate it it it

Ok I admit defeat this time. I have a abudance of excuses, namely Im not feeling myself at this present time and havent been for the past 5 days. My blood pressure seems to have hit a all time high and I have a massive headache etc etc... Been to the docs. Gotta rest etc etc etc blah blah blah and a few blood tests and a BIG needle later and I still feel like crap.

I have done a row here and there, but no, IT wont be finished by the required date. It will be finished cause I bloody want it for riding on the bike. Just not by the 26th. I wanna take this chance to congratulate all those that have taken part and have completed their projects and those that are dawdling like me. Heck congrats for trying.
Done a few rows on Brins school cardi as well, but then thats almost completed. That will be a thorn from my side. Im so ova that cardi hey. Plain, blue and boring

Think I need a ride on the bike. I find that extremly relaxing and tomorrow night the spunk and I are gunna do a little night time riding, so am looking forward to that. But for now I will leave you with a small pic of the mini cherub. Isnt she precious

Sooooooooo what did everyone get for Valentines Day???? huh huh huh....

Me I got.......... nothing.

well ok nothing for Valentines Day BUT I got the most gorgeous silver necklace with a heart on it for my birthday... From the spunk of course. *sigh*. I so love him lol.

I also got for the big one, Red Dwarf VII on dvd and a Happy 40th piccie frame from the older girls, Brins gave me a lovely champagne glass gel candle. Im sooo spoilt. I spent the day doing what I wanted, went grocery shopping and bought what I liked for a change and laid by the pool, and watched my dvd and then enjoyed a lovely dinner with my fav 3 peoples /dog. It was great.
I gave the spunk some gorgeous black satin boxers, I cant wait to see them on him wooohooo.

In knitting news, well I aint done much a few rows really, its been way too hot here and I couldnt be stuffed. I gave up on the Irish Hiking Scarf for the spunk as my Olympic thingy cause I guessed he would hate it and yup he would, sooooooo Ive decided the pink angora one for me was in order. So I started it, done about 20cm I guess, maybe more, Ive decided not to measure it till I feel its long enuff. So as punishment to myself for weasling out of the cable scarf. Im doing the pink one in cable rib and started a black ribbed one for him too, whether I finish both by the end is something else. Whether I finish ANY by the end would be a miracle. Im still trying to finish Brins school cardi too and still have time to ride the bike, and look for a job. I need a few more hours in my day.

Apart from that not much has happened, I did move into the spunks for a few days last week, needed a breather from here and yanno I think when we finally get off our lazy arses and move in together, we will be fine. We just seem so easy in that situation. Even Brins settled in to a routine. We all did really, the dog included. Brinley got to wake up to me and the spunk for her birthday as he had the day off, and that was like the most normal thing really. We spent a lovely weekend with his daughter as well. With a gorgeous roast for dinner sat night and off to the pub for a lunch Sunday.... SOOOOOO spoilt we are. Its so hard walking out that door though. Monday I was in tears, we been there for 5 days and neither Brins or I wanted to go. Seems silly in some aspect but seems normal too.

Ok I gunna go make some brunch, sit and watch some more Red Dwarf and maybe do a row or two with the fan on high, not as hot today but very humid and sticky.

Firstly something amusing.....
This was sent to me and I'd like to pass it on. I dont know where it came from so credit isnt given but thanks are.

Ok onto some knitting stuff.......... yes gasp but I may always be busy and neva home but I do plenty of knitting still. Mind u it seems to cut into my bike time these days.... Maybe brins doesnt need a dozen jumpers for winter lol

In knitting news. ......
Off the needles and sewn and looking sweet I might add is a jumper for Brins yes it was in a stripy stuff. accckrylic from BIGW, but I have to say amazingly soft and sooooooooooo much of it hey, 375grams and Ive done a jumper for a 6 yr old have enuff for a matching hat and some stuff for the baby too. Pattern was simply, in round till armhole, round neck simple garter stitch edges and flared sleeves. She loves it and thats all that matters hey.

Also off needles and awaiting buttons and some minor sewing is a jumper for Skye in Sirdar "Snuggly" in the fair isle dk. Ive tried to get a shot so you can see the pattern in the yarn. you might be able to see the self pattern it makes it was in pinks, purples and white

Also a single sock but we wont talk to much about that till the 2nd sock syndrome is abolished.

Last Wednesday my baby girl went to big school. She has started year 1 and loves it. I thought she might but coming from a Waldorf school to this one is a huge change for her and me. But they are lovely, shes happy and settled in with some new friends already. And did I cry and sook on her first day..... HELL NO..... she was dropped off kissed madly and the spunk and I took off for the day on the bike. We spent a lovely day riding and pubbing.

AHHHHH and my baby girl AKA granddaughter Skye is 10 weeks old, isnt she a cutie. Shes got colic atm, poor baby, she keeps her mother amused by crying. Glad I can hand her back.

Yanno Ive had some people think Im a freaking dickhead and ijiot spending all my money on something for someone else , but yanno I got such a warm fuzzy feeling when I did it, that hasnt worn off. Makes ya realise you have done the right thing. The look on his face when he gets off her is priceless. Thats why I love him
